Chevy Express 2003+ interior differences (lf glove box latch)

Hey all, I'm looking for the glove box latch that goes on the center console cupholder thing. I found the original part and diagram but $50 is way too much for that latch. As I googled other options, I found that there's a difference in 2003-2007 and 2008-2016. I found a more reasonably priced one on ebay for 08-16. Wondering if anyone knows what the differences are? would the latch for the newer models still fit?

I've also found some results on e-bay that seem to suggest this part is also the same as used in the Uplander or Montana... looking at pictures they certainly seem similar.

Any thoughts?

Welcome. Unfortunately I can't answer your question. My 2008 cargo 3500 doesn't have a door on the center console.

Are the part numbers different? Latches swappable?

Yeah... part numbers are different.

2003-2007: 25758980 or 25758981
2008-2016: 20933084

montana/uplander/venture: not sure part number, but plenty on e-bay.

From pictures, they all look the same... but no idea if they're interchangeable or how to determine that.

Thanks for the car-parts suggestion... it's a little hard to use for small parts like that, but I do see a bunch of "glove boxes" listed there. I might start ringing up a few of those.

update: decided to buy a montana one from e-bay for $11. Will update here if it fits!
