Re: Custom Functional Bedding
Actually, what I need is a Pelican case to keep Mini-Gnar dry when he goes rafting.

Re: Custom Functional Bedding
Herb,
I purchased my superbag in 2005, and have been very happy with it. Each side has it's own zipper, and they are two way, so the bottom on one side could be left open. ( note: The sheets are sewn together, so you could not put your toe out in the open air) My wife talked me into the higher thread count sheets (i believe 300). They are well worth it, some how having sheets inside the sleeping bag make it feel a lot more like home.
I have a walk through design, and thus a one piece bed, my superbag stores nicely on the bed when hanging from the ceiling.
If I had to do it again, I would purchase another one.
Greg

Re: Custom Functional Bedding
Our sheets on this later model utilize a Velcro system that permits one to stick a foot or leg out , our first one like Greg's wouldn't allow this .

Re: Custom Functional Bedding
I should correct my statement about the the sheets being sewn. They are sewn only on the bottom, the side's are free and velcro to the bag. So you couldn't stick your toe out the bottom, but the bottom corner, no problem.

mini-Gnar is quite the mascot... tireless and ever-present. What a hoot!

Re: Custom Functional Bedding
We use this cheap double sleeping bag, it's bulky but easy to wash And does not have a zipper down the middle for joining 2 sleeping bags, it's made for two people already, has 2 zips on either side. The bag it came in broke but bag itself has been great for two years. It's like camping and not glamorous like the RVsuperbag, I think my wife would love built in sheets though!

Re: Custom Functional Bedding
Bringing back an old thread. I am looking at picking up one of the RV Superbags & was wondering what size others have picked up? I would think that the Queen would fit best but maybe the King would give us more room to move around? We're relatively normal sized people so we don't need tons of room.

Re: Custom Functional Bedding
My wife got me one for Christmas and it is a full. It fits the penthouse bed perfectly and yes it works great but you need sleep in the center of it because the zippers do not have the sleeping bag baffle the cover them and if you get close it gets cold. I have used it in weather in the high 20s with a fleece liner and a dog to keep me warm or no liner and two dogs.
