Re: Custom Functional Bedding

You guys got me snooping. Here's a cheap solution http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00AGJ...p_mobile?psc=1 or an even better solution http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000F3...&pi=SY200_QL40. I just checked on price and it says ships in 1-3 months. Say what?

Re: Custom Functional Bedding

Years ago one of my fly Fishing /Tying students was Cory Wells who was one of the lead singers for this group very down to earth pleasant guy that loved to to learn and as I recall became a very good Fly Tier . Gooseberry kind of rang my proverbial memory bell with his Two Dogs comment .

Re: Custom Functional Bedding

We use dedicated sheets and old blankets. We have a couple of Gerry goose down sleeping bags we can through on top if it gets below freezing. Really don't see the need for anything else.

Re: Custom Functional Bedding

I was getting the impression that I was the only one using actual sheets & blankets in my van. I have the top & bottom sheet sewn together at the bottom for convenience, but I'm still "making the bed" with sheets, then blanket, then comforter, all tucked in at the penthouse bottom corners. Two comforters for those sub-freezing nights.

If I understand this correctly, the advantage of the RVSuperbag is that the sheet and comforter could be kept together (using velcro?) for easier bed making/unmaking.

Custom Functional Bedding

We have 2 rectangular bags with different temp ratings that we zip together, so depending on temps out(or in) we can flip it. I think they're kelty, they are nylon, I think slumberjack makes a cotton bag, but are heavier.

Re: Custom Functional Bedding

The RV superbag consist of two sleeping bags, one "summer" and one "winter" weight. The two bags zip together you use the one on top that fits the season. The big difference is the sheets that come with the superbag, they are sewn together on the bottom seem and attach to the sleeping bags with Velcro. They make upgraded thread count cotton sheets, that I must say are very comfortable to slide into.

Like many things this would not be two difficult to make at home, I have found it to be very comfortable, and have used it in the penthouse and on the gaucho. I usually store it between the penthouse bed and roof when not in use, or it will also fit behind the gaucho.

I plan to buy new summer blankets, so the old ones can be used for trips. My friend specially bought a new blanket in the car, because for him it really is a necessity. I started choosing a new summer blanket and I lost my choice. Now there are really many different options. I found an article on the Internet, here https://comfortersetreviews.com/best...-hot-sleepers/ are some different blankets described their pros and cons. It seems to me that it's very convenient, but I still cann't make a choice. My wife wants us to sleep under one blanket, but she loves a heavy warm blanket even in the summer. It's very uncomfortable for me.
