If you are looking for a super stout water fill I would look at Aquor. I used two of these on my build one for the water fill and one for the rear shower and they are great! They are a little pricey but they are very high quality.

Good suggestion, I’ve had my eye on these. Maybe one of you can answer a question I had. For the angled quick connector, can it be connected either way? Meaning the angled portion facing up or down. Reason I was wondering is if I ever needed to fill my tank in a gravity feed scenario, it’d be easier if the inlet elbow was pointing up (I think). I do plan on filling off my hose bib at home 99% of the time.

Also, just noticed Amazon has most of the Aquor lineup available for Prime delivery. Easy to get and return if needed, fyi.

I can check on mine later today to confirm but I am pretty sure you can connect it so it's clocked either up, right, down, or left.

Another plus for adding an inspection hatch is it's a convenient way to have a second fill for things like water jugs or other means that won't attach to a hose.

Sure, it can point upward. Ordering directly from them was easy and quick, I personally wouldn't give amazon a piece of the pie.

I also ordered directly from them and they shipped quickly. Plus I chatted with someone from their company before ordering because I had some questions and they ended up giving me a discount code making it cheaper than from Amazon. Though Amazon does make returns easily so I can see the appeal.

Also if your inlet area is tight the make a 1/2″ PEX Crimp Inlet, 90° Elbow. It replaces the standard 1/2" female NPT inlet.

Fantastic, thanks everyone. I think Aquor is the answer. I was looking at some quick disconnect fittings from Colder Products but was having a hard time finding all the fittings that match.

For reference, here's the deck plate I installed in my water tank. I used plenty of silicone, just in case.

All that grunge is on the outside of the tank, not the inside!
