Re: Does anyone have the "Cab Seats Captain's Bed Trifold"
I've not seen one but it would be easy to fab one based on the picture. My van measures about 64" between the front door arm rests and the seats measure 18" deep from the front edge of the seat to front of the seat back edge.
Cardboard could be used to demo the idea and only a small amount of plywood is committed to a simple platform for occasional use. One 20" x 64" x 1/2" piece of plywood (based on my van's measurements) and 4 2"x3" butt hinges with screws are needed for the platform.
Cut the plywood into one 20"x32" (for center span) and two 20"x16" pieces. Connect one smaller piece to each end of the large piece with two hinges. Use a 20"x30" piece of cardboard to template the cutout for your doghouse, then transfer the shape to the center panel for cutting. Remember that the doghouse is probably not centered between the doors and seats. Round corners and edges and apply finish of choice.
Use Thermarest or other inflatable or foam pad for sleeping. The panel ends fold over the center to make a 20"x32"x1-1/8" object that can be somewhat unobrusively stowed against a cabinet, wall or floor with the deflated/rolled pad stashed where ever practical.
Hope this helps.
