I have been looking at these for a while now. I have a Zero Breeze 2 which, at 2300 btu, is acceptable for nighttime, but not enough to even begin to cool the van down during a sunny day. It will, however, run all night on its own 2 batteries, without hitting the houses batteries at all. I was hoping this one, at 6800btu, would do a better job, but I was talking to someone 2 weeks ago at the Mid Atlantic Overland Festival who had one installed in a high-top Sprinter, and he said you had to be right under it to feel anything and it would not even begin to cool the entire vehicle. Of course that is a sizable area, but I was disappointed to hear it. I have seen a few other entries hit the market. With new battery and 12v compressor technologies making steady improvement, I'm sure something will be here soon.
