Dometic CF80 on end

I hVe a dometic CF80 fridge. Great fridge takes up a lot of room.
Is the any reason why I shouldn't stand it on its end and use it as a stand up fridge? Would save some space.

I think it all depends on the configuration of the compressor with it's oil, and the refrigerant and where it would collect if the fridge was placed in an atypical position. I would check with the manufacturer, but I wouldn't expect that they'd endorse that positioning.

I feel your pain. We have a CFX-95DZW and love it, but the tradeoff in space is pretty huge (literally). In our case it serves as an extra at-camp seat and food prep space, although I'm working on a better (most likely Lagun-like, or maybe a slide-out) solution for the latter because it becomes a problem when one needs to access the fridge beneath.

The only note I could find in the manual with respect to orientation is:

The cooler can withstand a heel (inclination) of 30, for example when used on boats.
I think this implies that standing it up on end is a no-go.
