Factory Bench sideways

I am planning on building a platform for a mattress this weekend. Was thinking of mounting the bench seat that came out of the van sideways behind the drivers seat. Any reason why I shouldnt do this? And suggestion on mounting it? Mostly for a place to chill while camping, but would be cool for occasional paddengers.
The floor of my van has been sparyed with bed liner and underside of the van was painted black. So the factory seat bolts are stuck. Either leaving them in or going to have to destroy them to remove them.

I'm pretty sure he just unlatched his and put it sideways when he needed to. I would break out the angle grinder and remove those mounts because they'll be in your way anyway if you leave them. Just remount them with big washers where you want the seat. I've done it several times. You won't have useable seatbelts but you probably knew that.

lapbelts are pretty easy to accomplish, but not the shoulder belts.
