Re: Galley Box by CCV arrived today.....update 1-15-15

my barn door has a a extra brace welded on that door per another van owner so maybe SMB does that to fix a known issue. If I make it out you can look.

OMG I'm glad to know more than just me are constantly listening and sleuthing out those myriad, minute yet massively annoying little noises.

I recall one noise that had a friend driving down bumpy city streets with me in the back slowly narrowing it down. It was an amazingly easy fix but without actually being back there it would have taken a lot longer to find.

Might be better to find a door at a junk yard, and just swap your goodies to the replacement door.

Here are three pics in one of my 2000 Chevrolet Express rr side door. I have a small storage box in it. Have been hesitant to make it larger because that would cut out the "strap" that connects the door latching mechanism to the door hinges. Nothing else this shows a different style of door construction from the Ford. Ours is 15 years old now, no cracks, but we do not normally go off paved roads but for campgrounds.

So how's the door galley working out? I'm thinking of throwing down for one.
Did you decide that the cracks were a prior issue?
Any issues with the galley?

Anyone else have one, and have any thoughts?

Could someone take a picture of the snap open hinges for those side tables? I’m thinking about ordering one and I’m curious how those actually work. Btw apparently the price has gone up about 50%! They want $1200 for them now.
