Re: Getting a new propane tank purged in So Cal

I recently bought a new empty 5 gal propane tank at Costco & it said it was pre-purged on the label. I didn't realize new tanks needed purging. When I filled it at a gas station in Poway the operator asked about purging but I showed him the label & he went ahead & filled it. It took something like 4.5 gallons so I assume I'm good.

I actually installed the HS2211 inside the van.....it works great! It took a little bit to get it to fire up the first time, probably had to purge the air in the line from the tank.

Seems pretty quiet in the driveway.....we'll see how loud it is in the middle of nowhere.

What size tank did you end up with? Any install issues? I've got a local propane company that will install a tank that's about 33" long and 8" diameter.. they like the passenger side but it's pricey. Did you do your own install?

I was wondering if the 2211 could go inside (read things that made it sound yes, and then others that made it sound no). Also wondering how quiet it is. Good to hear you review and would like to hear more as you know it, if you could.
