I am working with SMB TX with plans for my second SMB.(GM 3500) Quigley can install shift levers that can be easily removed, so I assumed that this would allow the drivers seat to swivel. SMB said that due to electronics under the seat on GM vans, they can not do a swivel on the drivers seat, as they have not been able to locate an appropriate mount. Any advice or comments? Thanks, Wayne
Just had SMB TX finish a Chevy 2500 conversion for us earlier this year. Same issue with the driver swivel. We settled for a passenger swivel only and got the 6-way powered drivers seat from Chevy.
Hasn't been an issue for us (wife and I), but then this is our first SMB so we can't really miss what we have never had.
Sportmobile TX commented that "electronics" under the drivers seat would not allow a swivel. If the drivers seat does not have 6-way electric option or heated seats, what other electronics would be under the seat on the GM ext van? My previous Ford from Fresno had swivel 6-way adjustable. I accidentally pulled a wire loose when turning the seat. Wayne
