Hexomat Floor Mats?

Has anyone seen/used these Hexomat floor mats?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Intro-Tech-Hexo ... 57&vxp=mtr

I like the idea of a 1 piece mat that stretches from driver to passenger......but I haven't seen any photos of them for our vans. I also wonder if the dead pedal/wheel well area is covered?

The item offered is for Ford E Series vans yet none of the pics look like a van.

That's what's bugging me about it.....I can't find any photos of them in a van.....but I really think these might be perfect. I might just go ahead and order them.

I don't see how a one piece is going to work with the doghouse and the floor t/c shifter.

FWIW, I have similar mats in my Bronco (not a one piece driver-to-passenger) and they work fine, but mine were generic mats that I cut to fit, and placed over the top of the LineX that I have on the interior tub. They have held up very well inthe 2+ years that I've owned them.

Re: Hexomat Floor Mats?

My van is 2wd.....so no shifter on the floor. The way my seats/doghouse are configured there would maybe be a 6" strip of floor mat running across from side to side aft of the doghouse.

Another website shows fitment for 2004-2007 E350 SD. Site shows a generic 1 piece and guaranty it will fit the vehicle.

Re: Hexomat Floor Mats?

i'm curious too, so I just posted a request for a pic in the Ebay ad. We'll see what happens. I'm curious, though, if the seller is in the attic fan business as well as the floor mat business since his Ebay handle is fanattic?

Re: Hexomat Floor Mats?

I have some of these in my Honda S2000. These are the only rubber mats I could find that were made/factory cut to fit the car. It is a decent mat. The base rubber (the part you would be left with if you somehow removed all the raised hexagons) is not that thick so it will conform to uneven floors somewhat. I've had the mats for 4 years now and they looks the same as when I got them (dirt aside). I can't speak to the fit in the van. You can tell that these mats are from a large sheet of material where they just cut the mat shape out, so there is no edging or border to the mat. It would not be that difficult to trim if necessary.

I bought them from an online store that I no longer remember (not ebay). From the pictures the material looks identical, but it could be a different company sourcing the same material. Ohh, it did have a very string rubber smell when I got them. I left them outside for a week when I got them. They don't have any smell now.

Hope that helps.

Re: Hexomat Floor Mats?

I bought a roll of garage floor covering, I believe from Home Depot, for about $100 10 x 20 something. I made a pattern out of newspaper and masking tape to fit the area I wanted protected. Unrolled the covering, laid the paper pattern down and cut with scissors and utility knife. To avoid being to awkward to handle I made in two pieces that overlapped. Works like a champ. Had enough left over to do the Escape mats and rear area.
