Re: How do I turn on Starcool on shore power?
Sure you have the Starcool III? There is a huge AC compressor about the size of a 2.5 gallon water can on the frame somewhere. FWIW they made an non-shore power version that only works with the engine running. Other than what Jim posted, to go over it again, you need the thermostat turned on to "cool", set to the lowest temp, the SC fan speed switch on 1,2 or 3 and the Starcool power switch turned on...mine is located behind the driver seat on the wall. If you have the inverter set to invert the Starcool pulls too much for inverters 2Kw and smaller and will possibly trip off the inverter. Most inverters automatically pass the shore power AC through when in the off position so there is no need to have it on in the first place.
