Agreed,
I have a friend who may have a few honeycomb core panels with a few dent/scratch. and they will be free.

He also has the thin alloy honeycomb structural panels.....load bearing, light and extremely strong.
(but will see if he delivers.)

I have lots of room under, I hate weight. I am going to raid my wood boat restoring friends shop for some hardwood ply.

as a matter of fact, I may start replacing the original boat anchor cabinets slowly.

I removed a rear shower base, rear sink, drain plumbing, holding tank & cabinetry and shed 380lb of worthless & unusable
cabinets.

I bet there are 60lb of overused brackets in an SMB.

Personally, I am a cabinet minimalist for both space and weight reasons (I get all the space I need in from the fixed top, but that weighs a ton too). So I get where you are coming from.

Re: Interior advice needed and take a look at what I am doin

I use baltic birch........3/4" is 11 ply. It's a bit heavy though. My local supplier also sells a Chinese import birch with lots of ply's and it's significantly lighter than the BB, so I've been using a mix of 3/4" import, 3/4" BB and 1/2" BB. The BB is actually metric: 18mm and 13mm.

I have never worked with the honeycomb stuff, but it looks like it could be a PITA to work with. They sell that at my local metal supplier, but it ain't cheap..
