Interior Shower set ups?

I've heard of/seen the little curtain shower based showers in a SMB, but I'm curious as to whether anybody's ever heard of or is running something like this? That is to say a combination toilet/shower stall, like a marine head.

Re: Interior Shower set ups?

fwiw
- wish i had a interior shower
-HOWEVER
-i was not willing to give up the space

- my solution is the exterior wand, at the end of my galley cabinets
-- rubber mat to stand on
-- both doors open
-- black visqueen (plastic) clamped to doors

Alt solution:
- potty/shower tent with solar shower

Keep in mind, even a quick shower eats up water
I know that if i had a built in, the water would not last......
because too easy to take one

Re: Interior Shower set ups?

We have the portable interior shower made by Sportsmobile and I have to say it really works great. It consists of a curtain that hangs from the penthouse with a large Tupperware pan that it snaps to on the bottom. There is no drain you simply dump it in the sink or outside when done showering. This is a very simple system and if you have sewing skills could be reproduced easily.

The only change I made was to the shower head, SMB's design is to use the sink faucet which does not give you an on/off at the shower head. This made it very difficult to conserve water, so I installed a valve in our hot water supply with a flexible line that coils under the sink and a shower head with an on off. I also installed a tempering valve so the hot water is set to the temperature we like for showering. That way we don't waste water futzing with the setting.

Cheers,
John

Re: Interior Shower set ups?

I wanted to make sure I could take a hot shower in the snow country. I can get four "navy" showers out of my standard water tank.
