Leak at city water hookup

I've gone from a small drip to a large leak that appears to be coming from the city water hookup, I think from a crack in that white gasket-looking thing that fixes the inside to the outside parts. Is this easy to find locally or simple to order from Sportsmobile? Meantime, I guess I'll caulk the heck out of it and see it that helps until the cure.

No need to go to Sportsmobile. You can get all those parts at Ace Hardware. Get silicone not caulk.

Thanks for the quick reply, simplesez. Am I going to have to remove that outside piece with the black gasket, also? I'm hoping not to have to mess with that and disturb yet another gasket.

Yes you will have to remove that also as it is cracked. You can get a Shurflo water inlet at Ace or a RV store.

I replaced mine a few years ago, it was cracked at the threads. Ordered a new one on Amazon- https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Pretty easy replacement, you will want some butyl tape in betweeen the water inlet and the van (the gasket). I am in SLC and have some extra butyl tape if you don't want to order a roll.

Sorry, got sidetracked for a few days... does that amazon chrome exterior piece come with the white plastic piece that it attaches to on the inside? I guess I'm asking if that's a separate piece I need to find as well since it has a crack.

Also, will Permatex Max Flex gasket maker work as well as tape or other gaskets? I have no experience with this, but that's why I'm here, I guess.

Thanks again, I see a trip to town...

Yes, it came with everything you should need. I’m not sure about the Permatex, but it could probably work.
