Looking for a small roof top air conditioner/heater system

Since I have no clue about the above item I listed, I'd like to get some ideas on a small air conditioning/heating unit for the roof of my van..I am looking for the smallest and cheapest one out there. Thanks in advance for the help

I really don't know anything about rooftop hvac units; however I think that they are typically all electric powered units (someone correct me if I'm wrong please!). It isn't really a viable option to think that you could run something like this off of batteries alone, so if you are camping where you will have hookups then you are likely headed the right direction. If you want to be self sufficient then I'd imagine you should look into different options. I'd say the majority of the crowd here is set up for the boondocking scenario and using diesel or propane for heat.

Can you elaborate a bit on your needs and intended uses? It will help folks steer you in the right direction.
