Looking for new/upgraded voltmeter

Yep I know Dave, I would love to have the full TL remote functions, but right now I have no digital meter for the house batteries and that's all I really need. I use the scanguage for digital reading of van battery, but I don't know that I can cue it up without the van running. I need to try that.

Re: Looking for new/upgraded voltmeter

Picked up my teardrop after getting some modifications done to it by SoCal Teardrops. One of the things I had them do was to install a Clipper BM-1CG Battery Monitor and its associated shunt. On the far right side of the display, is a bar graph of available battery capacity, and the display also has a backlight capability.

On Shore Power, showing input voltage and input current (after the battery charger)

On Shore Power, showing battery capacity at 59% and 5.2hrs to get fully charged at the existing rate

The display will show the net charge (positive or negative) depending on power coming into the battery and power from the battery being used.

Off Shore Power, showing battery capacity at 63% and 199hrs of battery capacity at existing rate of usage (which was almost none at the time)

Re: Looking for new/upgraded voltmeter

I'm happy with my Bogart Engineering Trimetric, which measures voltage, current, power, and percent full. If all you want is voltage, it's overkill, though.
