Make/model of this fridge?

Anyone know the make and model of this '98 era fridge, or how many amps it draws? Thx.

That looks like a Norcold. Not like the tiny one I had in my '97; but like a slightly larger one I saw in another late-90's SMB. That door handle is pretty distinctive.

Re: Make/model of this fridge?

Yep, I remember seeing one like this in one of rallypanam's vans, where that whole door handle acts as the latch release. It's definitely a larger unit than the one in my old van, which is why I'm concerned about amp draw. Neither rallypanam or I can remember exactly which one it is though. Finding info online is proving difficult.

Call Sportsmobile Austin and ask them what fridge they put in the 2003 van they did for "Norton".

The large one in the picture above looks like my Norcold DE-541 in my '95. The one in your picture looks smaller. I think mine is 4 Cu Ft. maybe the one you have a picture of is 3 cu ft. Wonder if the 4 in 541 means 4 cu ft. Don't know amp draw.

It seems to be a DE-540 Norcold (3.6 cu. ft). Mine just died after 21 yrs. After trying to burp it, find replacement parts, etc., I gave up and purchased a Truckfridge TF130. About $200 cheaper than similar sized Norcold or Dometic and seems to work fine. Time will tell.
