Max 10-Gallon Water Tank for the EB-50?

Sportsmobile Indiana says 10-gallon water tank max in an EB-50 due to
the steel frame of the forward-facing rear seat/bed. Seems odd that a
van so large can't have the optional 20-gallon water tank. I'm not
really interested in carrying around auxiliary water cans for extended
remote camping.

Does anyone have an EB-50 with a water tank larger than the standard 10-
gallon size? Has anyone modified their EB-50 in an after-market way to
accommodate a tank larger than 10 gallons?

That doesn't seem right, I'm looking at used EB 50s with large water tanks... one was 17G if I reacall (I've got notes on like 2 dozen scraps of paper ... unless it's some weird 4wd thing, but ??

I'd say call SMB California and ask them, see what they say, just to be sure.

I just got a '07 RB 50 and it has a 16 gallon (I haven't measured it) water tank. The standard was a 10 gallon with the 16 as an option. It extends a little back into the rear cargo area.

Thanks everyone for your replies. I got an email from Liz at Fresno. She said I could get the optional 17-gal tank, and still have room for Starcool. They've even installed two 17-gal tanks under the seat for someone, but you can't get Starcool if you do. Someone else emailed me that they have two 10-gal tanks under the seat, but didn't tell me if they have Starcool or not.

Tank Options

See this site for various options, and they'll put the inlets/outlets where ever you want them:
