Mid van curtaining?

Along the lines of "what the SMB really needs" that mine doesn't have is a simple way to close off the front of the van. If I'm not bivouacked (e.g. stopping at a truck stop for a nap or emergency use of the porti potty) I don't really want to spend the time snapping up the front windshield curtain.

I know SMB offers a seperator curtain, so I'm wondering who has this (how does it work, snaps?) or other home grown solutions for quick and easy closing off the front or middle...

We have the SMB curtain that slides on a rail right behind the drivers and passenger seat. We use it more often than the regular windshield curtain. I am sure you could make up something that would work just as good, but seeing as it was an option that I thought we would make use of had it put in when had the van converted. It is easy to slid over and use it most every night.

I, too have the separator curtain directly behind the front seats. It provides plenty of privacy without the definite "I'm sleeping in the van" look.

This photo is from the rear, facing forward. It's not a good picture but you can clearly see the curtain in this photo:

We use this curtain daily. It's always closed when we park so nobody can see what's inside and more often than not, we do not use the curtain that snaps on over the front windshield.

The curtain is sewn onto small plastic tabs that slide onto a small track screwed into the roof line. It should be a simple retrofit.

I'll get better pictures of it as soon as I can.
