Yep that’s exactly what I did. New fridge is in everything looks great and is running perfect. Took the longest to switch out the door to the other side after that it was pretty simple. Thanks for all the help everybody— I’m back on track to migrate south for the winter

Ha, In all the Threads I read before changing out my Fridge I didn't recall any mention of this either, so naturally assumed it was just me...Its kind of a relief to know I'm not the only one that struggled.
Yep and for anybody reading this in the future ,when they say in the instructions be careful not to lose the spring , what they really should say is the spring goes flying no matter how careful you are. Make sure you are in an open area so you can see where it lands
