Hey gang. Hoping to find someone who might have some insight to the problem and some troubleshooting guidance. I have Norcold AC/DC refrigerator and the DC side no longer turns on. Let me qualify that statement... The "light" comes on, but the compressor doesn't run. The AC side works fine. The fuse is good and the 12V battery is brand new. Any thoughts I should check next?
Most of these use a combination AC/DC and DC/DC power supply, to convert the incoming power to what the compressor and fan use - in my limited experience about 24VDC. It sounds like the AC/DC side is working but the DC/DC side may not be. If you know how to use a volt meter you can check the power supply and see what output it makes on 120VAC and what it makes on 12VDC.
My refridgerator is pretty old. Norcold Model DE-351 AC/DC. I pulled it out and the power supply assembly is all one unit. I was able to find parts at the following...
