Yep, that’s the problem! It’s rather tough filling the water tank or getting to the batteries with the couch bottom being sooo heavy! Wrecking my back in the process tends to really “ cut down” on the Fun part of
using my van for it’s intended purposes!

Wanderers,
Yes indeed, let’s hope so. What a shame we can’t all get together for a “ round table” session or two and work through this! There HAS to be a way to do it, that will improve the situation for all of us somewhat disabled folk. So far the “ Cot” plan seems like the best solution to me, especially an aluminum version.
I just need to find out where to get one for my ( dream) specs! Maybe just buy one and get it altered?

By the way, I found the fold-up 3-way mattresses on Amazon ( naturally); and it comes in many sizes and depths (2” to 6” last time I checked). All of them fold up into at least 3 connected pieces. Having slept on an air-bed with a 2 or 3 inch memory foam mattress on top, I realized it was amazingly comfortable, so I think it would work equally well on top of a cot ( anything with some “ give” to it)!

Gee, that’d be great, but as I live ( literally) in the middle of nowhere, just finding one would likely be a bit tough....much less getting it installed! Same problem I am having with pretty much everything I am trying to do- or get done. Nearest stores etc. are at least an hour away.....in every direction!

Boy do I wish it was! I suspect I’d have fewer problems! Would love to have it replaced with one like that! Meanwhile
I am also looking for new or used propane sytem, and an installer since the previous owner had the whole thing removed!
The Gaucho as is just makes it nearly impossible to get to my batteries or my water tank! So it has to go, regardless of
possible repercussions. I cannot lift the bloody thing!
Thanks,
ConnieKat

Any idea where I could get one like this? I can’t even find a thing online other than the Sportmobile name. Has the company shut down?
