Replacement refrigerator recommendation?
Hi -- our original (2001) Norcold refrigerator bit the dust and looking at Isotherm 65 to replace it (fits same cabinet opening). We're not sad to see the Norcold go -- it was running all the time, noisy, and hard to control the temp. Anybody have any experience with Isotherm -- or other recommendations? Thanks! Rick / Colorado

Nice rig! Check TruckFridge and see if they have something that fits.

Subscribed. I've pulled mine, cleaned the coils and fan, wrapped in insulation, and still sounds the same. Time for a change.

Yeah -- time for new technology. Ironic to park somewhere for the night -- and get away -- and listen to a compressor come on and off all night. Thanks

IF you have the room to keep a frozen quart of water in the freezer section, I find this will help reduce the cycle times over night. Problem is there is hardly ever room for the frozen water

Be sure to check the integrity of your power cables and the power cable connections before you ditch the Norcold. I had an issue with mine way back when, and when I pulled it, I found a couple of poor connections.

Our Norcold failed on an Early Spring in 2019 trip and replaced with a Truckfrigid. Awesome unit, fit in place of old unit and was able to add insulation on exterior wall. Definitely less power use and really quiet unit.

Thanks -- I've never heard of that brand -- but I went online and saw it -- I appreciate the tip Herb -- this forum is really great. Everybody is so helpful
