Rixen Heat Exchanger size

To anyone with the Rixen system or previous SMB build with heat exchanger: I'm building a poor man's rixen system, the heat exchanger I bought isn't large enough to output hot water continuously (has no btu rating on it). If anyone can take a look at theirs and tell me the size and sq/ft of heat exchange I'd appreciate it.

Hi Clark. It's a function of pump flow rate. This guy makes it look like he's using the https://www.dudadiesel.com/choose_item.php?id=HX1410DW with the stock Espar D5 circulating pump. Kind of surprising, I was thinking I was going to need the https://www.dudadiesel.com/choose_item.php?id=HX3220DW to accomplish the same thing.

Yeah, was hoping to get someone to look at the heat exchanger from their Rixen that is known to produce plenty of hot water. Will be ordering one soon here, probably err on the side of large as it's lots of work to drain the system to switch.

I'm personally still teetering between this one and this one.

I would get that Webasto one, but I want a Duda double-wall for overkill safety reasons. Don't want my amateur plumbing self to be responsible for someone getting sick from coolant.

I'm quite confident Rixen sells the first, smaller of the two, with their system.

I would have thought that was not enough area.

A friend w/ a Rixen on a boat seems to confirm he thinks his is that small.

Three other blogs on the internet... , this one, and can't find the other at the moment... seem to suggest the same is true, e.g. that the smaller one is enough.

I too was hoping to hear something a bit more affirmative than some shots on random blogs, but... I might try the little one and if it doesn't work out, make re-use of it as the engine heat reclaimer in the future or even as part of my plan to connect to claim heat from a compost pile on a cold dark winter night.

Side notes...

I don't know why these guys are building giant aluminum radiators out of their water heaters. I WON'T be copying that for summer months.

I am pretty confident from other images shown that Rixen makes a habit of scratching off the Duda address off of the heat exchangers that they resell.
