i moved my 4 person bench forward. i drilled the holes to use the 6 bolt plates (that the 4 person bench uses) and used large fender washers on the nuts in the new holes, and used the 4 existing holes from he drivers side bracket with the stock bolts.
So, to secure the 6-bolt plates, you drilled the extra two holes through the floor then secured the bolts on the underside of the van with fender washers and nuts. The other four bolts just used the existing holes?? ...just trying to visualize

yes sir. pretty sure that's what i did, although it has been almost a year. for the passenger side, you need to drill all 6.

Thanks for the help. I suppose I’ll seek out a 3-person bench instead of the 4.
Do all stock 3-person benches mount similarly, or is the bench immediately behind the driver different? For some reason, I have the notion that the width between legs is not the same.
Isn't there a row that has an armrest and one that doesnt? I vaguely remember people putting a specific bench in because of the armrest.
