Silicone/Sealer recommendation for sealing wiring harness leak in roof

Need to remove old silicone Silicone/Sealer that is not keeping water out. Any recommendations on type of Silicone/Sealer for sealing wiring harness leak in fiberglass roof?

Try Sikaflex - on Amazon - black color - pretty sticky, gooey stuff ! Use but don't overuse as it is messy !

Many in the RV community use Dicor self-leveling lap sealant on around roof fans, AC units, solar wires etc… anywhere there is a potential leak or to repair an existing leak. It comes in white or black (and leveling or non self-leveling). Some say to use black only, even on a white van, as the white product gets dirty and yellows with age. I used it on my transit roof as a preventative measure to cover the the bolt hole roof caps that are on these vans.

3M 5200 is hard to beat but it is a permanent solution.

another resource - https://www.sportsmobileforum.com/fo...ons-18369.html

this is what we've used on our van because we prefer zero-to-low VOC's:
https://chemlink.com/product/m-1-uni...esive-sealant/

and where to buy - https://store.concreteexchange.com/p...dc8a3757&_ss=r

we've used chemlink M-1 to mount l-track to the penthouse roof, to seal the weld mounts (t-nuts) before coating the penthouse with monstaliner, to attach awning brackets to the body, to attach weld mounts to the penthouse for mounting lights + camera, to seal body cracks, etc.

other options in the zero-to-low VOC realm:

Rather than look for a sealant perhaps a Blue Seas Cable Clam would work in your situation?

I used one running a reverse camera through my fiberglass raised roof, used just a dab of GE 5000 Silicone sealant too but honestly the Cable Clam seems to work without too much extra sealant etc.

Those look pretty slick. I will keep them in mind.

I recently used the Dicor 501LSW-1 to recaulk my RV roof, and I’m happy to see no drop inside the RV when we had a heavy downpour the next day. The consistency isn’t the same as water, but more of a runny putty. The roof sealant flows and spreads easily using a putty knife.

I used cable clams for the solar on my roof. That was four years ago and its never leaked a drop. I also used Dicor self leveling sealant on the roof vent.
Its good stuff and will stay in place far longer than silicone sealant imo.
