Starcool and Generator
On page 2 of the Starcool III manual, under "Operation Parked 110V," the instructions say:
4. If you have a generator, allow five minutes, after you stop the vehicle engine, before proceeding.
According to the instructions, if one is plugging in to 110v power, there is no waiting period after shutting down the van's engine. But there is if one is working from generator power.
I can't make any sense out of this. Does anyone know the reason for this?
My only guess is that they are trying to say that you should let the generator warm up for five minutes before putting the A/C load on it. That would make some sense to me. But that's not what the instructions say.
Extra points for anyone who can definitively solve this mystery.
Thanks.
