Re: Std SMB sofa/bed sleep issues
Another option is buying an Aerobed air mattress. We used the regular size that fits nicely in the RB50 sleeping space and firms things up fairly well. It has a built-in pump that runs on 110v. A couple issues though. It is about 8" thick, so it's a little harder to get into and out of bed. Sometimes I feel like I may do a face plant in the middle of the night when nature calls. Also, after about 40 nights of use, we sprung a leak and haven't tried it since patching the leak. This comes with a stuff sack similar to a large sleeping bag stuff sack. Looks like they have changed the models a little, but this is similar to what we have.

We also bought 2 Thermarest Luxury Camp self-inflating mattresses in the large (25x77) size. They also make one that is 30" wide and you might squeeze a 25 and a 30 in the RB50 space. These may be even more comfortable than the air mattress, but the self inflating claim is exagerated and lots of puffing is required to get them fully inflated. The nice thing about these is that they are only 2" to 3" thick. You can roll them up fairly small for storage.

Either one of these smooths out the irregularities of the RB50 sleeping area.
