Re: Swivel seat base choices?
If I recall correctly, I bought my front seat swivel bases from SMB when I had them install the Voyager top in 2005. They are simple. Beefy. And well thought out, except:
1. I almost never swivel the driver's side. I might do it more often if I remove the manual transfer case shift lever and go with a NV272 electric shift transfer case. (Or not if I go really crazy someday and install a ZF6 manual transmission.)
2. Lengthen the wires on your airbag sensor on the passenger side with curly cue 2-wire from Radio Shack or Ebay? I can't remember. Remember to always swivel your passenger seat the same way everytime and reverse the same way everytime.
3. Don't drive with the passenger side seat back up in the reverse position because it blocks your passenger side mirror.
Finally, having the passenger side seat swivel to look to the interior is great because it increases the living room seating for my wife and I and for our guests when they are over for meals. IMO, you will really like the swivels.
