Swivel Seat Base Q?

has anyone tried one of these, or is there a reason they wouldn't work?
There are a couple of options...

Looks like it would work from the pic, but not exactly sure of your circumstances, fit, clearance, etc.

2011 E250. I would want them for both front seats… They are significantly cheaper than the smb or discount truck versions.

Wow, for $50 each I would buy two and fabricate them to fit, or have someone else do it. You'll still probably only spend half as much as buying two from SMB or Discount van after you pay a fabricator.

Thanks for that link!

Re: Swivel Seat Base Q?

It's highly likely that you would have to fabricate an upper adapter plate and a lower adapter plate (or drill new holes in the floor). Take a peek under your seats and look at how the bar for the slider mech hangs down. Whatever base you end up with has to be able to mount to the seat and allow that bar to move up and down to adjust the seat, so the adapter plate won't be a simple 2D flat plate, it needs to be bent/joggled vertically to allow clearance for that bar.

On my 2008 there is also a seatbelt retractor box that needs to get relocated; your 2011 may or may not have that.

Re: Swivel Seat Base Q?

Mine are going into a cargo van, so I have to drill holes either way. No need for a slider either, they list the bolt hole dimensions on the website, so checking them would be pretty easy.
