What is the most foolproof cabinet latch available? The ones we saw in the SMB factory last week were round. Push it in-it stayed recessed. Push it again, it came out and you turn it counterclockwise to unlatch the door, clockwise to relatch. Anyone know the model name and number? Can anyone suggest anything else that you think is the best available? Thanks in advance.
"Best" is difficult to say. Slight differences in needs/wants/application may make one best another's worst.
Having said that, the latch mentioned in the above post is quite secure. I had one heavy drawer that kept opening on left turns, changed to that latch and it has never opened by itself again.
I bought mine from SMB Indiana. Don't remember the price, but it was reasonable.

I Had a drawer that was always opening on left turns too, after inspection, all it needed was a shim (i used a washer)under the catch on the underside of the counter/cabinet to secure the latch on the drawer when closed. Problem solved
