Maybe you can clear this one thing up. I noticed in the photos the top plastic window trim piece was removed, assuming this is this just for install of the shades and trim piece can be replaced?
Great question!

I assume you're talking about the windows that are not on doors. The covers are designed with very thin hanging straps that should easily fit between your trim piece and the window, like you'll see on the door photos with the full OEM plastics in place.

We have an Opt Overland pop-top (similar to the CCV top), and during installation the headliner was removed and discarded. On a stock van, the headliner is what would typically cover this metal. We simply haven't built replacement trim for our van yet.

I just realized I didn't have my location entered in my profile. Since you're local, we could easily meet up if you'd like to take a look--just let me know.

Thanks! We've found we use it quite a bit, kind of like having "top down" shades at home. Good for those "what was that noise?" moments when "camping" in suburbia.
