Cant locate 1der's number

'quoting' just in case Ray has this tracked... can someone either send me ray's number?
-OR-
tell me if it is normal for the seat base NOT to swivel before it is installed?

I showed mine to my son yesterday because my swivel base does not want to swivel. I wondered if it needs the weight of the seat to engage it?

At any rate, been to 2 places for the TorkX who did not have the correct size so no progress on removing the seat from van yet.
THANKS!

I found 1ders number right on the shipping label, so much for privacy right?
If anyone has insight in the swivel-tude I would appreciate it
(Have not installed, does not swivel YES we disengaged the lever)

It is very stiff before installation. After the install, the mass of the seat along with the leverage makes it swivel smoothly.

Torx+ 55 is the tool I used to take out my Econoline bolts.

I agree with LandVan. I think it will be fine once installed.

You folks are really going to enjoy these swivels. We put them in a couple of weeks ago and now we have a party room!

Well it won't be before Friday that mine is mounted due to having to order the +star wrench. I went to or called 5-6 places before anyone even know what one was! Spent most of the day near Pittsburg doing errands and that. Finally stopped at Autozone on my way back home and thought, 'ONE more stop- watch them have it right near my house'
Turned out an employee heard me ask for it, went to his car and showed me his set which he ordered when he was a mechanic at the heavy truck garage who did my van inspection.

So they ordered a set for me, my first tool collected for van life (what is that loud flushing sound I hear.... $...$... WHOO$H)

I've met all kinds of people thanks to HellBetty but at some point I hope to cut back on the legwork. Or I could just move to the left coast! Wrench set here on Friday.

The tool is a Torx Plus 50 or 55. The Torx Plus is slightly different than the regular Torx.

Thanks for the visual. Lesson learned: at least google something, no matter how small before I go shopping for it re: van.

It seems like a common thing to remove a van seat in our SMBforum-world, so why shouldn't the tool be common our in the real-world LOL
