Good to know, thanks. Unfortunately (or fortunately?) our driver side seat has a power base. We may decide to find a non-power driver seat down the road, depending on how we end up using the van.

Hey all, just a quick question, it may have been discussed prior, but i dont feel like going through 64 pages to find out.

I'm about to install these. Most videos show the removal of the carpet and insulation and bolt these directly onto the steel floor. I am thinking about heat transfer (loss) and was wondering if anybody left the carpet and insulation in there, thus preventing a big thermal bridge between floor and seat base. Any reason not to do that? I assume that if you bolt them down tight they will not be wobbly?

install video we did. Thd insulation can be left. In a passenger van, the carpet will need to be cut a bit where it is "formed" otherwise it will bunch up and create problems with the plate.

Link and check time codes to jump to particular install points:

I am putting together the next buy. Target is mid to late October shipping. Let me know if any questions.

Questions I hear about Driver seat:

Driver swivel with a transfer case floor shifter - in 99% of the cases it can.
Driver Swivel with cabinet behind - Driver seat can swivel with cabinet behind.

Driver swivel - The HUGE benefit of a Driver swivel is not 180 degrees as with the passenger seat. It is the ability to rotate it 90 degrees (although it will rotate 180) that we find the most beneficial. It opens up the front area by moving the back up against the door, provides another seating spot that allows the person sitting there to be part of the cabin experience, and makes the driver floor area easily accessible for stowing/retrieving bags or stuff.

Great swivel, question on unit under seat

Just got my 2 swivels installed in about an hour total

On the passenger side there was this box under the seat. Anyone know what it is? Seems related to the airbags. If itís unplugged the warning light about airbags stays on. The base wonít fit over tit so I had to unscrew it and mounted it on top of the base

Anyone know if itís okay to just mount this on top of the base plate and secure it facing forward?

Thatís what I Did and seems fine but canít find anything online on what this box does and would hate for the airbag to deploy

I think it’s the yaw sensor for RSC. Weird that it would trigger the airbag lights. Regardless, Just make sure it’s still pointed forward l, and can’t be kicked out of position, and you should be ok
