Negative, seems to have gotten distracted or such. I've been wondering the same. Hope he's ok!

Hi All, back in town from three weeks running around Lassen, Lost Coast and Redwoods. Great trip, clean air, mostly not too many people. Nice getaway.

I will be checking regarding the seat base order tomorrow. I have been checking in regularly and I am being told they are running behind and have back orders they are working to fill. I will update what the latest is but I do know they will be delayed quite a bit.

Please check in tomorrow afternoon. Thxs!

Hi Ray, We are in the Redwoods right now! Ha. Anything you'd recommend doing? We're in Trinidad right now.

Thanks for getting back to us. Have they given you any idea what month they might be ready to ship?

Cool, we did not get that far north. We came across 299 from Redding. We spent the night at the Bear River Casino parking lot in Loleta. Just register w security and park at teh very back of the parking lot up past the Casino entrance. It felt safe, not too noisy. We did not go into the casino.

Next day we did the drive out to the Lost Coast via Mattole Rd and stayed at the campground out there. Very cool place to walk on the beach. Windy and clean. But it was pretty much full. Campfires were allowed and the two campsites upwind of us were burning wood that created lots of smoke which blew down on us. We moved and slept tucked in across from the bathrooms. The garbage cans were full and the vault toilets probably have a month to go.

Did the drive out on the rest of Mattole Rd back via Honeydew towards 101. We popped off at a grove of redwoods with the Giant and Fallen Trees where you come into Humboldt Redwoods State Park. Then we did the walk through Rockefeller Grove - wow!

Just before you get to 101 you will see to river bars. We parked on Leatherwoods Bar and did not get hassled but we were tucked away and it was a Monday night. There was one other vehicle there in the morning. I did not see the no camping signs until the next morning.

Finished the drive back to SF the next day stopping in at Costco Rohnert Park for diesel fuel.

If you are daring you can take the road south from Honeydew but then you will miss the redwoods. There is also the road at to Usal beach and Shelter Cove if you have the time.

Re: seat bases availability - I am doing that in its own post tomorrow but it is definitely pushed out.

Hey Ray! I need a passenger and driver swivel base for my E-350. Any chance you have these on hand or will soon?

THanks!

Thanks for all the good info. I had on my list of things to do, the Tall Trees Grove Trail and Rockefeller Forest, Richardson Grove and a few others, then on to Crescent City.

Thanks for the info also on the seats. Things are crazy right now.

UPDATE ON AVAILABILITY / DELIVERY for the OCT /NOV 2020 batch:

The swivel bases are on backorder right now, not just for me but for everyone that carries these. Some suppliers are still on backorder from late August.

Best shipping time frame right now is looking at LATE December for my order. It is possible that this is going to slip into January.

I have no concerns about the manufacturer, they are a large company, multiple locations and very busy. One of their largest competitors, Flexsteel, decided at the beginning of the year to discontinue manufacturing RV interiors/furniture (great timing on the part of Flexsteel- NOT! just as demand for RV's went through the roof). Much of Flexsteel's abandoned business rolled in the front door of my manufacturer.

So, here is were WE are in this situation - The bases I thought I would have ready for shipping this coming week are NOT going to ship. The new date is late December and that is not a guaranteed date and I may receive a partial shipment at that point.

If you have prepaid and do not want to wait I will return your payment. Or, you can keep your place in line with the payment left in place. Either way it is "no worries" and totally understandable. I will say that based on the email inquiries I am receiving I know no one has units right now and all of the seat base suppliers have backorder lists to fill. I cannot even imagine what is happening with the assembly lines for the Class C motorhomes based on the E Series cutaways.

I absolutely apologize for the delay, however, this is outside of my control. I am pretty good about getting the units shipped out once they are in my hands as a few hundred of you can attest to!

Let me know what you want to do. In the meantime, I will be responding to everyone who needs a shipping quote. Thanks! Ray

I'll stay put. You have my payment and I'm good with that. December or Jan. is fine with us. Thanks Ray! And thanks for the Redwoods info!
