Re: Ford E-Series Van HID Projector Retrofit lights

In honor of your sale, I will try to purchase a van I am looking at and then buy from you! Cool... but diving in the Caymans for a few more days then the deal might go through.

The last set posted is what I call option 1 and they run $350 for the complete basic set.

Re: Ford E-Series Van HID Projector Retrofit lights

So I bought a set of these early on when we sourced parts from separate vendors. Seven months later I get around to installing them, and low and behold one of the ballast was junk. I could try and get the ebay vendor to send me a new ballast, but being 7 months after the purchase, and it being some chinese mass vendor, I feel even if I was to gain any ground trying to contact him, as it is to late to do anything through ebay, I would be chasing my tail. If not now, then down the road. Is there a better ballast out there that I should be purchasing?

one month update on use

Despite my initial concern about the durability of the entire kit, I have to say that so far it's held up well, and I've given it plenty of reasons to self destruct. High speed driving in Baja tests everything in the van, and I've tortured the lights a lot. The light output is so seperior to stock you can't even compare, I no longer hate night driving like I use to. So two thumbs up. The only very minor issue is the condensation that collects on the inside of the lens, but the bulb doesn't seem to mind. These are a recomended buy. Thanks...

Re: Ford E-Series Van HID Projector Retrofit lights

Some motivation for these dark evenings this time of year. I think this set is my favorite combination so far with the black led housings, premium Morimoto Apollo 2 flat shrouds, 100mm Morimoto led halos and standard Fast bright ballasts/H1 bulbs. The Morimoto XTorch 27" LED bar is a nice touch as well when off the beaten path.

Just ordered a set in chrome. Scott is great to deal with! I will post pics when they get installed. Currently the van has a set of Hella Lenses with Phillips Bulbs. This set up was way better then stock but still nothing to be happy about. Looking forward to being able to see the road in the rain!
