Luci Solar Lights

We have been using these lights for about six months now and most recently on our three-week trip around Arizona. We hiked and camped the Grand Canyon for four days and these lights were awesome.

They are really light weight, last about 10 hours on a full charge and charge the internal LiFeO2 battery via the built in solar panel. We attached them to the top of our backpacks during the day hikes and they were good to go all night. In the tents we hung them from the D-loops for night lights.

When we were in Beastie, we used them inside as well as hanging from the awning to highlight the area around the van. During the drives, they lived up on the dash to recharge during the day.

Super wonderful efficient little units that put out a great deal of light via the LED's.

My wife, 1derGirl, was so impressed with them, she made arrangements earlier this year to become a distributor for these lights. She then promptly designed and coded a pretty cool website.

Let me know if you are using them and how you like them. They are available from many sources, but if you are up for for it, check out her website and the blog post about our trip.

Re: Luci Solar Lights

I got a chance to check out the Luci lights when Ray was at the house and they are pretty awesome. They are perfect for adding light while tent camping (as Ray noted), but also for ambient lighting on an awning as a lantern. I plan to pick up an assortment asap!

Ray, any feedback on the MPOWERD Luci Solar String Lights?

I like the idea of a small string of solar lights, but at the same time the attached solar panel / spool looks a little clunky to have attached to one end of the string, limiting my vision of attaching it to an awning.

I have that. It’s pretty fun. I either set the panel/spool on top of the awning or up on the windshield by the antenna if the awning isn’t out. Hasn’t been a big issue.

+1 on the Luci Solar String lights. Love them, they are a great addition to the van adding great ambience. Love the regular Luci lanterns as well.

Received an e-mail today that Empowerd (makers of this light) has a Labor Day Sale going on; 40% off everything (except the Luci String Light, and the Base Light).

No code needed.
