Colorado here - presently building Transit SMB

Hi all. New guy. I have owned a 1986 Vanagon Weekender for 8 years, and loved it. Even got married in it. The van has been family. Now my wife and I are fortunate enough to be on the production schedule for a Transit SMB.

VAN: 2018 Low roof, PH top, Transit with the 3.5 turbo. Ordering as soon as the 2018s drop, which I think is any day.

FLOORPLAN: Generally following the RB150 floorplan, but tweaking a bit to try to mirror the Weekender layout, but with a small galley. No propane/stove/heat, but rather sink and microwave.

We have three kids - two 13s and a 2 yo. Our adventure van is a huge part of our lives. Looking forward to joining this community - and not breaking down so often.

Cheers!

Garage
Welcome and congrats on the new build.
Personally I'd add a heater, especially here in Colorado. But I guess it depends what you do in the winter too. But you might want to rethink that aspect. Welcome to the group, if you ever make it up to Fort Collins we should meet up.

I almost went with a transit -- I was thinking of a mid height roof. Colorado camper van will put a PH on those and the extra room felt "just right". (Dunno SMB limits on what they will PH)
