My experience with the 6.0 to 7.3 fan clutch wasn't a good one. The fan ran almost all the time and it was on either full or not at all.
When I spoke with one of my diesel tech guys he even warned me about it. The conversion uses the OBS Ford 7.3 clutch of which Ford has discontinued. This leaves the option of a clutch from a local auto parts shop. These non Ford clutches are engaged A LOT. In the van the noise is obnoxious.

However,
I have a BPD 7.3 conversion nut and new clutch if anyone else wants to experience it.
