first post- Mikey

Hi All,

Been on this forum for a few years, though this is my first post I got Mikey in 2018, he's a 2005 6.0L Ford E350 (Previous owner named it "Little Mikey Carson" from Dave Matthew's song). Originally converted at Sportsmobile Texas, it has Bulletproof Diesel upgrades, Ujoint 4x4 conversion and 6" lift, with Agile Offroad upgraded rear leaf springs. Amp retracting running boards, Aluminess bumpers/rack. On the inside it's an RB35 style layout, with gaucho behind the drivers seat. I prefer this layout because I can drive anywhere, park late at night, and flip around and lay down on the couch without having to set up anything. I go gold mining/prospecting/camping a lot around the California gold country and Sierra Nevada, the 4x4 gets me where I want to go. Been having a blast with it, so happy I got it!

Below is a playlist of some video's I've made, hope you enjoy seeing some of the places Mikey's been to, including getting stuck

Yeh, We love this stuff - great video! Haven't been able to take our Van out on a nice trip for over 9 months now due to work constraints - so lately I've found myself living vicariously through posts like these...Thanks for sharing!

Yeah, what they said. Awesome, well done. Your layout is a lot like mine.

Great video editing and it looks like Mikey likes the same kind of areas that "Ford Zilla" prefers. Namely high, remote and mostly void of other campers. Love the high Sierras, just don't get there anymore...

Awesome. Good to have an introduction among all these for sale posts. These vans should always be out adventuring!
