First time SMB Owner Saying Hello

Hello Fellow SMB Enthusiasts! I am now the lucky second owner/caretaker of a 1994 SMB with PHB built on Dodge Ram 350 EB. The first owner and his wife moved to a retirement community at the age of 84. They took great care of it over the years. They lived in Austin, TX so no harsh winters and close to one of the SMB service centers. The last 8 years it was barely used. Really just a second vehicle for around town.

I bought it sight unseen in an auction, flew to Austin, and drove it 800 miles home. One of the 10 year old rear tires got a puncture on the sidewall coming through OK on I35. Horrific road. I knew they all needed replacing so a few hours later and I was back on the road on new rubber. : ) I have spent the last month getting it outfitted for my use and an upcoming 3000 mile plus trip to the Adirondacks in NY.

My mechanic went through it and all it needed were front shocks and brake pads. Those are done so it is ready to go anywhere from a vehicle POV. Getting the RV systems serviced and checked this week.

Welcome brother Dodge owner. Leave your wallet with the doorman! Lots of toys to buy now.

GREAT STORY!!! I love the first time driven/picked up stories!!! Especially when you have (as Leland has described) a repair situation that actually ends up being PERFECT!! Or at least a perfect excuse to spend money on our rigs!! Great looking van and as usual, a well taken care of van that age of user has it up for sale!! Welcome welcome welcome!!!you're going to love it, as it sounds you already do!! What's her/his Name??
