Hello from Rancho Santa Margarita, CA

Hello,

My name is Glen. My wife and I somewhat recently purchased a 2011 Ford E-350, EB, V10, 4X4, that had a number of modifications done by the previous owner. Our plan is to use it a bit before deciding on the final layout, but we are thinking along the lines of a Sportsmobile'ish self contained vehicle when it's all said and done. If there is such a thing

We will be attending the Overland Expo in May and hope to attend some local meet-ups/events as well.

Unfortunately, nowhere yet. The van had a number of mechanical issues that came up right after we bought it and it's taken a bit of time and money to get them fixed. Also, there were a handful of modifications the previous owner was in the middle of when we bought it and I wanted to get those completed before taking it anywhere. We just got it back from Agile Offroad, who finished the repairs and completed the unfinished mods.

We are hoping to get it out in the next couple of weeks. Most likely it will be a short local trip just to make sure everything is good.

Yes, I know the weight can add up quickly and I'm really trying to pay attention to how much weight is added and where in order to keep things balanced out.

Should have some pics up soon........

Don't be afraid to take her to a scale for baseline and weight over changes. I do this with my work truck, most truckstops are 5-10 bucks, dumps etc also have scales

Welcome! I'm kinda next door in Coto De Caza. If you'd like to meet and chat about van questions let me know.

......and member Brian Blair has been doing occasional meet-ups in Silverado Canyon if you are interested in that.

"If you'd like to meet and chat about van questions let me know." Thanks boywonder....... One of the main reasons for joining this forum was to be able to tap into the experience & expertise of the membership and shorten the learning curve a bit. We are also looking forward to attending some of the meet-ups and trips. I'll be keeping an eye out for Brian's next meet-up.

Not sure if there's a better way to do this, but pics have been posted in the "Show & Tell" area.
