San Ramon

Hey there, I would be interested in joining although my 06 E350 is not a sportsmobile nor 4x4 yet.
I live in Danville and work in BR, so literally right down the street.

Would love to connect.

Let me know,
Eric

Posted a meetup thread here:http://www.sportsmobileforum.com/for...tml#post250319.

If interested, please express interest there with locations that you think would be suitable as well as preferred date/time.

From a distance, just admiring the growing interest here. Granted its been 20yrs since i've been in the Bay Area (so I'm confident a lot has changed) but may consider meet-up locations such as Mt. Diablo, Golden Gate recreation area, Lafayette Reservoir, Tilden Park, etc...IMHO the scenery & ambiance has more appeal than a parking lot populated by businesses & shoppers.

I thought about the Lafayette Reservoir, great place, but that lot is typically crowded. Lots of people park there and walk the trail around the reservoir. Plus payment required...

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks!
Hi Alyssa,
Have you thought any further about meeting up at City Center Bishop Ranch? Google Map shows it's still under construction. Or is the Map out of date. Erik (Offroading is Fun) thought a Saturday in Mid-May would be nice. That would work for me if I can convince my other half.

You must be looking at an out-dated map. The City Center in San Ramon opened a few months ago.

Sometimes takes google maps quite a while to update.. Looking at things today, you still can't get a street view with either nothing there, or the building at various stages of construction.

This sounded like a lot of fun, but it looks more and more like a fleeting thought than anything else (judging by the lack of follow-up after two weeks... Maybe, hopefully, I am wrong, because this did sound like fun).

Lagoon Valley Park between Vacaville and Fairfield is a good location. There are several parking lots that usually have plenty of room. $5.00 entry fee though.
