Hello from the Southwest!

Hello,

Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself and my 95 e350, Falkor. I've lurked around the SMB forums for awhile now, but never signed up or had a van worth posting on here. I've been a big fan of vans for the last decade or so. This is my second van. First was a 97 Dodge B2500 that my wife and I lifted and built out the interior. We sold that for a "more practical" Toyota Highlander because it was big enough to hold gear and sleep in, got great MPG and could do some mild off-road stuff. In the end, it just wasn't big enough for what we wanted.

We just sold the Highlander and bought this 20k mile 1-owner Wheelchair van. I have a budget of $7500 for the first phase of this project. The van was $5000 and I've used some of the remaining cash to do some general maintenance (new battery, tune up, fluid changes, new tires, start building the interior). The goal of the first phase of the build is to get a good tour rig ready for when we travel and play shows with our band. We want something that holds 4 people comfortably, sleeps 4 easily and can also make it to some of the easy BLM spots we like to go to.

The second phase will be to finish off the solar, kitchen and plumbing. Third phase is a leveling kit and locker. Final phase is 4x4 conversion.

I started a build page if you want to follow: http://www.sportsmobileforum.com/for...top-21194.html
