Hello SMB forum!

Been here for a few months - just saw this subforum and realized I never posted an intro...

I've always had a soft spot for Ford vans as I've driven many over the years due to my line of work. My in-laws also live ten minutes from UJoint Offroad in Asheville, NC, so I swing by whenever we're in town to check out what's sitting in the parking lot. I don't currently own a SMB/E-series but have been in the market for a couple of years; however, the prices post-2020 cooled my interest a lot. Before we had kids, my wife and I did a lot of offroading/camping in some remote areas out west. We've had some fun vehicles in the past, a few Jeep Wranglers (one w/ a 5.7: Hemi conversion ) and numerous Toyotas (couple of Land Cruisers and a Tacoma). Some photos of the Hemi Wrangler and from a few of our trips with the Tacoma:

My job takes me all over the U.S. and the family and I are currently in central CA for a while. Several months ago, after seeing van after van on the road here in CA, we got the itch to find a SMB/E-series, but more likely a passenger E-350, as that's about all we can fit into now due to the size of our family (the Jeep and mid-size pick-up truck days are over ).

I've really been enjoying this polite, relatively small forum and look forward to learning more in the future. Thank you to the members I've already chatted with on here and in person. You have been very welcoming and have provided some excellent info/advice.

Cheers ,

-Steve

Welcome. Looks like you have had some good adventures.

Prices seem to be better than 2020. Pre-Covid? Not sure yet. The economy may continue to drive prices down.

Yeah, waiting to see how it all shakes out, I suppose.

The demand seems to have normalized, but inflation isn't helping. It's funny, SMBs/E-series have always been on my radar, but I really got interested in them back in 2019 after chatting with a guy at Home Depot. He had a really nice EB50, white with a 7.3L. Then 2020 happened and I moved on to other things due to the price hikes.
