Hey Y'all

I'm in process of designing my camper build, and found this place. I'll be stealing ideas, and bugging for more.

Born and raised in Milo IA!
Reside in Denver for 20yrs now.

My advice:
Build to the usage. It's easy to go overboard and overspend.
Do as much work as possible yourself. Shops are crazy expensive.
Lift it!

I have driven through that town a couple times.

As for the van I have spent the last couple months fixing the mechanical issues, planning, plotting, and redesigning the van a couple times before I did the first mock up. Most, if not all will be DIY. It's what I'm good at.

I just did the Weldtec lift on my van last week. Very easy. I was thinking about doing a 4x4 conversion but I only have the 5.4. I think it would have been just too much for the motor here at altitude.
Have fun with the build, it gets addicting!
