Hi from future Sportsmobile owner - Sacramento

Hello,

I wanted to join to learn a little more about Sportsmobile’s. My wife and I had a partially converted extra long and tall 2011 MB Sprinter for a couple years and loved it. We had to sell when we got our townhouse because we were worried about where we’d park it. But we miss our van and are trying to justify a Sportsmobile. We want 4x4 and I may go with the classic 4x4 in regular body or ford van with the Offroad goodies. I’d still consider a sprinter too. We currently go on trips in our 4Runner but would like more space to boondock and work while on trips. I’m a consultant and she’s a photographer and I can work while she’s out shooting during the day.

I’d love to meet some people in NorCal and check out some vans sometime. We may schedule a trip to Fresno sometime to check them out at factory too. I look forward to learning some great things from everyone.

-Ryan

Go to the factory. They have dozens. You’ll find plenty of friendly NorCal folks in here who would love to chat vans.

We have a 2016 4wd SMB Sprinter in Walnut Creek (with most of the offroad aftermarket add-on’s that you will most likely be interested in seeing) that you are welcome to look over. A ride now, that might cost you a beer!

Thanks Fitz, I may have to take you up on the offer! Spent the last 4 days at June Lakes and saw one E350 Sportsmobile and a lot of other conversion vans buzzing about. Makes me want one even more now.

I'm along the 680 corridor as well and have an EB-50 if you'd like to see it and chat. PM me if you'd like and we can figure out something.
