Re: Hola! My official introduction - 2002 White SMB EB50 7.3

Where are those LEDs from? I'm on Vled.com (a buddy just got some license plate lights there) and I can't find the model number.

Thanks in advance.

PS those are your reading lights over the couch, right?

I got some Brightech LED BA15 in Dec '13, though they were $10 when I got them. Don't know why they're 50% more now.

Re: Hola! My official introduction - 2002 White SMB EB50 7.3

Nice! Thank you. Is the light different and is there less heat? I would also assume less energy consumed? How do you all like them? One more question:

I have seen some LED conversions on the penthouse lights but for some reason I don't remember them installing as easily. I feel like the member may have rewired a bunch of stuff. Any suggestions for the other lights in the van?

Moved the Hollywood bike rack to the rear hitch receiver, previously had it in the front. Clears the Aluminess box and spare tire arm fine with an 8.5" hitch extension.

Re: Hola! My official introduction - 2002 White SMB EB50 7.3

Trans started to delay/hesitate to get into Drive. Van has 310k and me and my Ford dealer can't find any record of the Trans being replaced prior.

This past weekend had the van parked on a hill. Put her in Drive and my 10k# van started rolling back. Engaged parking brakes, shifted to 1st gear and floored it until it engaged 1st gear. That was enough for me so John Woods Econo Trans going in, with an additional aftermarket Trans cooler added.

John Woods, very nice. I looked into his transmissions when I was looking for my 7.3 Excursion. He was very helpful when I asked a lot of questions.

Going down to his shop to have it installed?

He has a buddy that has a shop near me in Garden Grove so John handed it off to him and I'm getting done there. Thank goodness because Johns shop is over 3hrs away in the boonies.

Re: Hola! My official introduction - 2002 White SMB EB50 7.3

His website doesn't really say what the econo Trans includes but based on my online search, and I could be wrong (I could call and clarify with him, but that would take 15 call attempts before he picks up the phone), I believe it used to be his basic stage one Trans: upgraded clutch pack for each gear, custom built/tuned valve body, triple disc billet toque converter, steel overdrive planetary, billet input shaft.

Waiting for a reply from John to verify the specs.
